CLASSROOM ENRICHMENT GRANT
The Kent Schools Foundation provides grants that directly benefit Kent School District students. The purpose of the Classroom Enrichment Grant initiative is to fund projects such as art, music, STEM, reading, field trips, social/emotional programs, and unique experiences that enrich student learning in the classroom. Grants help teachers amplify, support, and reinforce their daily curriculum with innovative projects that reach students at their level.
Grant awards are typically $500 or less for each application. In limited circumstances, the Foundation may award a grant greater than $500. Applications requesting $500, or less, will be evaluated prior to those which are greater than $500. Each grant application requires approval from the schools’ principal. Applications must be submitted through the Foundation’s grant email address: grants@kentschoolsfoundation.org.

Latest Award Cycle Brings Classroom Enrichment Grant Awards Total to Nearly $35,000 In Just Two Years
This is the third year of the Kent Schools Foundation (KSF) annual Classroom Enrichment Grant cycle. The purpose of the Classroom Enrichment Grant program is to fund projects such as art, music, STEAM, reading, field trips, and unique experiences that enrich student learning in the classroom. Classroom Enrichment Grants from KSF support our KSD Educations by amplifying and reinforcing their daily curriculum with innovative projects that meet the unique needs of our students, classrooms, and schools.
The initial grant cycle, held in early 2019, resulted in awarding 18 grants totaling over $9,000 to 11 schools. In 2020, over $14,000 in grants were awarded to 26 schools across the district. All Kent School District teachers and staff were eligible to apply during this last grant cycle beginning December, which closed on January 25, 2021. KSF is pleased to award twenty-five (25) Classroom Enrichment Grants for the total amount of $11,547; grants are to be awarded on February 11, 2021. We look forward to sharing the impact these grants have in KSD after we receive project reports from recipients; we will share impact stories from these reports on our website kentschoolsfoundation.org.
